Each one-of-a-kind statement piece is handmade, using real butterflies sourced from around the world. The vibrant wings are carefully preserved and meticulously arranged on a replica rifle, creating a striking contrast between nature and manmade design.

The butterflies

Every butterfly is real. They come from around the world, across several continents, and each one is carefully preserved before it’s placed by hand. No two wings are identical, so no two pieces can ever be the same.

A few you may find on a piece:

Blue Morpho: Central and South America; Electric blue wings that flash as you move past.
Madagascan Sunset Moth: Madagascar; Green, gold and pink bands, often called the most beautiful of them all.
Green Swallowtail: Indonesia; Black wings crossed by a bright emerald band, with blue-tipped tails.
Paris Peacock: India and Southeast Asia; Deep black dusted with green, and a turquoise patch on each wing.
Owl Butterfly: Central and South America; Large brown wings with an eyespot that looks like an owl’s eye.
Purple Spotted Swallowtail: New Guinea; Green and violet markings found on almost nothing else.
